About the Northview Band and Guard

The Northview Band and Guard program is a 6th through 12th grade instrumental music program serving the students at Northview High School and North Clay Middle School in Brazil, Indiana. The Band sponsors a wide range of musical and arts activities, these include:

The Band hosts the Indiana Bandmaster Association All District Band, an Indiana State School Music Association Organizational Contest, an Indiana High School Color Guard Association Winter Guard Invitational, and an Indiana Percussion Association Winter Percussion Invitational.

Northview Participates in ISSMA District and State Solo and Ensemble, and is active in concert and jazz festivals.

Our history

The Northview Band has been recognized for its excellence in the performing arts since the school's inception in 1984. Northview’s Winter Guard is a two time Indiana High School Color Guard Association World Class State Champion and a 30 time Winter Guard International Scholastic World Class Finalist. Northview's percussion is a three time Indiana Percussion Association Class A State Champion and was a WGI Scholastic A finalist in 2022. The Northview Marching Knights are a 9 time Indiana State School Music Association Marching Band Class B State Champion, and was State Runner Up in 2022.
